Mortgage Insurance

A mortgage insurance is an insurance policy that protects a mortgage lender if the borrower defaults on payments or is otherwise unable to meet the contractual obligations of the mortgage. The initial premium rate quote ("Quote") is an estimate of the monthly MI premium for a given loan scenario. Most comprehensive quote includes applicable state premium taxes and assessments. For most of the MI providers the premium rate quote is valid for 60 to 90 days from the date the Rate Finder issues it. The rate quote response gives Premium Rate and Premium Amount.
